Announcements and Feed

For administrators

Authorized administrators can create a draft, publish immediately or later, edit, unpublish back to draft, archive, and delete. Only published, non-deleted announcements appear in the member Feed.

Publish as the community team

An Owner or Admin can use the community-team identity for an announcement and for administrative comments or replies. Members then see the community as the publisher instead of the individual administrator. The actual administrative action remains permission-checked and auditable.

Email active members

Emailing active members is an optional publication action. It creates an email campaign for every active membership, using the announcement title and body. Suspended and pending memberships are excluded. Feed publication still succeeds independently; email delivery depends on configured email service and background processing, and delivery failures remain visible in email campaign reporting.

For members

The Feed lists published announcements newest first. An eligible item has an explicit Mark as read action. Liking the item or opening its comments also marks it as read. This receipt supports announcement reporting and is distinct from merely seeing a temporary toast.

Likes, comments, and replies

• Members can like or unlike an announcement; each member contributes at most one active like.
• Members can add comments up to the current text limit and like or unlike comments.
• Replies are one level deep: a reply must target a top-level comment and cannot create a nested reply chain.

Publication and engagement reporting

The announcement detail can report active-member recipients, notifications created, read and unread counts, read rate, likes, and comments. Email campaign status is observed separately because in-app publication and email delivery are different channels.
